Proverbs 16 King James Version (KJV)

16 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directs his steps.
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Greetings in the Name of the Lord!!

I can hardly believe we are over halfway through the 2015 year. SO much has been happening in my personal life as well as the life of the ministry and the things the Lord has afforded me the opportunity to be a part of this year.

And yet there is still more ahead of us. At the end of August, 28th-29th we will be going to Decatur, AL. The next big trip is to Loma de Luz in Belfate, Honduras Sept 27th thru Oct 3rd. In November there will be a quick trip for a weekend of work and ministry at Family Worship Center in East TN and then we will look to the Single Parent Ministries Christmas Drive.

The passages at the beginning of the newsletter have been heavy on my spirit the last four to six weeks. As I am trying to prepare for a trip to Israel in February of 2016 I have started to try and walk a little more in my daily activities. The terrain and trails in Israel can be rough and rugged at times. Many hills and much walking that one normally doesn’t face in their daily routine.

I don’t want to be a burden or hindrance to our team so I am trying to do my part to make an effort to be prepared and ready for this journey. Isn’t that the way we should be living our daily lives in the Kingdom? To live and order our lives in such a way that we are an encouragement and asset t God’s Kingdom rather than a deterrent or hindrance.

I think that is why the Holy Spirit has had me camp in Proverbs 14 and 16 lately. I have felt Him checking MY spirit to make sure that MY ways are lined up with His steps and path for my life. To make sure that I am living in a manner that pleases Him so He can cause even my enemies to be at peace with me.

It has been through prayer and searching His heart and will for my life that I attempt to make plans but it is the Lord who directs my steps according to verse 9 of chapter 16.

I have realized the truth in verses 18 and 25 of chapter 16 as well through past failures and mistakes. When I allow false humility and my pride to arise in my decision making I have found myself falling into sin and temptations and I have seen death to the plans I have made.

If I truly want to LIVE and see the ways and plans of my life SUCCEED I must lean upon His direction for my life and His ability and promise to preserve my soul and keep my way.

I pray that you find your way in Him and trust Him to keep and preserve you.

Grace and peace,
May God Bless You,
Alan & Renee

ISRAEL UPDATE!!!!

An opportunity has been presented for me to go to Israel with a team from Springhouse Smyrna in February 2016!!!

It has long been a desire and prayer of my heart to go to the Holy Land. I have wanted to see the historical sites and walk in the footsteps of my Lord in the land God gave His chosen people. To be able to see the places of the treasured stories in God’s Word and have them “come alive” in a life changing way.

While there with the group I will have the opportunity to share a teaching or two at a couple of the sites and even participate in a Water baptism in the Jordan River.

The cost for this trip is approximately $3,800.00. Thus far $2,200.00 has been raised toward this goal!! Hallelujah!!! I only need $1,600.00 more.

I would like to ask you to pray for the fundraising efforts and opportunities for me between now and the payment deadline to reach this goal. This trip is above and beyond my budgeted and expected Mission’s trips for 2015-2016.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution towards this trip you may do so by sending your gift to:
