Greetings in the Name of the Lord!!

Well we are in the month of November where the majority of America celebrates Thanksgiving. Our nation has seemingly drifted wave after wave away from it’s founding upon Godly principles. Yet, we as Believers are in this world not of it. And in that we should continually be in a state of Thanksgiving regardless of the political, economic, racial or agricultural state of this world, as stated so clearly above in I Thessalonians 5:18.

Renee and I have SO much to be thankful for this last year. We have seen the Lord move in so many, many ways thus far and continue to look for His hand in the remainder of this year.

We have tried our best to live lives that fulfill the declarations of 1 Chronicles 16:8. In our everyday to day living among the people He brings across our paths we try to tell of His good works in our lives and of His great faithfulness.

I have been blessed through your faithful support, prayers and the Lord’s provision in our lives to go to Mexico, Honduras, Alabama, South Carolina and East TN to work, serve and preach the Gospel of Christ. And through these trips have seen miracles, heard testimonies of the Lord’s goodness and shared in the Joy of the Lord in the lives of many.

Just for a point of reference so you will know how your seeds of support have been a part of our ministry:

As you can see we have been active in taking the gospel and sharing a servant heart lifestyle in various parts of the world and we are looking forward to even greater exploits for the Kingdom in 2016!!!

I wanted to share something that happened this past Sunday in our local church service. During the worship portion of the service a moment arose and our Worship Pastor asked the congregation to just begin to audibly share testimonies of the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness going on “right now” in your lives.

As I stood and listened to MANY in our fellowship begin to testify of His healing, provision, goodness and love. I felt the overwhelming sense of gratitude and thankfulness of just how good and faithful our God is to His children. Some of the voices I recognized and I knew their story and what they had been or where going through and to hear them loudly, vocally proclaim their testimony ministered greatly to me.

I was reminded of the passage in Revelation so I grabbed my Bible and began looking for it. The passage refers to the great war between Michael and his angels versus the dragon, the devil and his fallen angels and how they were defeated and thrown down , he who accuses and brings charges against them before God day and night. Then Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.”

I continued the next few moments of service meditating on that thought of overcoming not JUST by the blood of the Lamb, BUT in conjunction WITH our testimony!!! Our testimony has power when conjoined with the almighty Blood of the Lamb.

I grew up in church back in the day when you’d have testimonies A LOT. And it was always inevitable that one or two precious saints would have one of those testimonies. You may know the kind. “preacher, the devil’s has been on me this week, I lost my job, the babies have been sick since Thursday, the washer went out yesterday…” and on and on it would go. I remember being confused as a child hearing that type of testimony. I tell you, I want to live in such a way that my words are filled with thanks and gratitude and that when I share my testimony it is one that as Psalms 9:1 and 86:12 are declaring His wonders and marvelous deeds and that are given with ALL my heart and that glorify His name forevermore!

I see SO many people on Facebook doing a month of Thankfulness for November, and that is good. I’m glad they are at least giving an effort to be thankful every day of November. But my prayer is this: “Lord, let me live a life that gives you thanks EVERY day. Let me tell SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE, EVERYDAY SOMETHING that I am thankful for that You have done in me, for me or through me.”

What about you?

Grace and peace and many thanks,
May God Bless You,
Alan & Renee
